Many of our volunteering roles involve direct interaction with potentially vulnerable individuals. Therefore, applications for volunteering are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. This requires potential volunteers to declare their full criminal record, including cautions, reprimands, final warnings, and any criminal convictions that are classified as “unspent.”
